"It is unfortunate and deplorable," said the Chief Minister, stating that a senior Congress leader like him commenting thus."I condemn it severely" said the Chief Minister.

Describing Sonia as an unanimously elected leader of the AICC and one who had a longer tenure than anybody, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy flayed Swamy's stand particularly when he was in the party for 30 to 40 years and held important posts in the state and Centre.

She was also duly elected unanimously for another 5-year term and her tenure also saw the spread of the Congress governments in many states.

She sacrificed the Prime Minister's post twice and chose to remain as mere party chief, he said.

In this regard the Chief Minister also made light of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu's criticism against her stating that Mr Naidu was losing ethical values.

He had no right to flay her since he himself backstabbed his father-in-law NTR just for chief minister's post.

He also defended A K Antony's meeting PRP chief Chiranjeevi as the former was the Core Committee member. The ultimate decision rests with the High Command.

On deputy CM's post a decision will be taken soon as told by AP in-charge and Law Minister Veerappa Moily recently.

On the issue of Indian students, particularly from AP (from Tri-Valley University since closed in US), being deported from US, the CM said all help would be extended to them including any legal help. Their laws are different so one cannot comment on their issues, he said.
