Telangana Telugu Desam Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday emphasized that he has no differences with Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on any issues. Talking to media persons at Media Point on Assembly premises, the Telangana leader blamed the media for ‘unnecessarily’ airing news reports that he had differences with his party president. Mr Janardhan Reddy said the media has tarnished his and his party president’s images by carrying malicious campaign against them unnecessarily.

He called upon media persons to act in a responsible and constructive manner and publish news stories only after crosschecking them. Stating that he was a pro-Telangana activist, Mr Janardhan Reddy added that he was ready to obey the decisions of Telangana leaders and even sacrifice his post for the sake of state formation.

He called upon Telangana leaders, cutting across party lines, to unite and make cohesive efforts towards achieving the Telangana. Mr Janardhan Reddy further added that he would consider working with Political Joint Action Committee if he is convinced that it is sincerely working for Telangana state formation.

Despite Mr Janardhan Reddy’s denial, the fact that the TDP leaders from Telangana are pushing for a separate wing of the party for the region is seen as evidence that all is not well in the party. The Telangana leaders are said to be miffed at Mr Chandrababu Naidu for not taking any decision on the separate wing in the party to coordinate the issue of bifurcation issue. Sources close to Mr Janardhan Reddy insist that the senior leader is willing to quit the TDP and is only waiting for Mr Naidu to clarify his stand on the issue.
