Speculation that she would join Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s political party came to the fore after she had attended the 48-hour mass hunger strike organized by him on the banks of River Krishna in Vijayawada which began on December 21.

Ms Jayasudha Kapoor said that she had complete faith in God to guide her in the future.

In reply to reporters’ queries, the actress-turned-politician said that her meeting the PCC chief is proof that she has no plans to quit the Congress party and join Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s political outfit. When asked the reason behind her participation in Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s ‘YSR Deeksha Pranaganam’, she said that programme was in support of the farmers. She added that though she owes her loyalties to former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, she committed no wrong since YSR is an integral part of the Congress.

Ms Jayasudha’s quashing the rumours of her departure comes in the wake of the implementation of the strategy adopted by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Mr Srinivas to desist Congress leaders from deserting the party.
