Former Kadapa Mp Ys Jaganmohan Reddy, along with his supporters will go on a mass hunger strike for 48 hours at Sitammapadalu on the banks of the river Krishna in Vijayawada from December 21.

According to sources, the former MP’s supporters have been told to mobilise his supporters from all parts of the district to ensure that the first impression of the yet to be announced party shakes the fence-sitting Congress’ leaders reverie.

Sources say that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s staunch loyalists like Ambati Rambabu, Karunakar Reddy Jaleel Khan and T Shakuntala have been told to mobilise more than one lakh farmers and weavers of the region who have suffered due to heavy rains in the area recently.

Sources add that, acting on Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s instructions, his loyalists had visited Sitammapadalu and even performed the ‘bhumi puja’ at the spot.
