Telangana Congress MPs on Thursday met Union Home Minister P Chidambaram at his Chamber in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum on deletion of controversial Clause 14 (F) in the Presidential orders to prevent injustice to Telanganites in the recruitments.

The delegation urged the Union Home Minister to take steps for the deletion of Clause 14 (F) from the Presidential Orders and include Hyderabad into Zone-6, so that recruitments to the police force can go ahead smoothly.

According to the MPs, Mr Chidambaram assured them that he would look into the issue and take necessary action in this regard.

According to sources, the delegations reportedly discussed and present political situation in the state and also discussed the possibility of someone from Telangana being offered the post Deputy Chief Minister post.

The delegation comprised of MPs Sarvey Satyanarayana, Gutta Sukendhar Reddy, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, Rajaiah, Vivekananda, Manda Jagannadham and others.

Later, talking to media persons, the MPs declared their unstinted support to the new Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

They also urged new Chief Minister to co-operate with them in their struggle to attain a separate Telangana State. According to reliable sources, former minister J Geetha Reddy is the front-runner for the Deputy Chief Minister post.
