Some Advocates on Monday managed to evade the heavy police cordon and hoist two black flags in the premises of the AP High Court, as a mark of protest against the AP Formation Day celebrations.

Talking to media persons later, Advocate G Jyothykiran said that the Advocates had resorted to hoisting the black flags to protest against the government’s decision to celebrate Andhra Pradesh State Formation Day, thereby crushing the sentiments of the Telanganaites.

She further added that Justice Srikrishna Committee, which is in the process of preparing its report on the future of the state, should also take into account the ‘innermost’ desire of the Telangana people for a separate state and should also take note of the injustice being meted out to the people by Seemandhra leaders.

The advocate further added that these agitations will not stop till a separate Telangana State is achieved.

After the flag hoisting incident, policemen prevented anyone from entering the High Court premises.
