Congress MLA Dl Ravindra Reddy on Thursday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into alleged irregularities in Bayyaram mines, Emmar properties and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam affairs.

Talking to media persons at the Media point in CLP office, Mr Ravindra urged the government to immediately suspend Principal Secretary (Industries and Commerce) BP Acharya and APIIC official D Parthasarathy for scrupulous land allocations and sought action against them.

“The CBI inquiry is needed as some senior Congress leaders have colluded with officials in the dubious deals. The comprehensive probe will give all details and who are the culprits behind the deals,” he said.

The MLA demanded that the government acquire all lands allotted to Emmar Properties under the APIIC land deals as they caused thousands of crores loss to state exchequer.

He also demanded cancellation of the agreement with Emmar Properties as recommended by Solicitor General Gopala Subrahmanyam and recover the loss from it under company act.

Mr Ravindra said the APIIC also suffered loss to the tune of Rs 160 crore in the allotment of land in Gangavaram port.

“I am not making the allegations for getting political mileage. I am exposing the loopholes in the system and seeking rectification,” the MLA stated.

The MLA also demanded stringent action against fertilizer mixing plants and accused them of irregularities while benefiting from the subsidies given by the central government. He also sought cancellation of licences for fertilizer mixed units and their closure in the state.

Mr Ravindra said he would write a letter to Centre in this connection and seeking action against the fertilizer plants.
