Revanth set to meet PM Modi. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is set to engage in a significant meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday, marking his first official interaction in his capacity as Chief Minister. Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, this meeting holds importance as it signifies the first encounter between the Prime Minister and a Telangana state Chief Minister since the contentious meeting between K. Chandrashekar Rao and Modi on September 4, 2021.

In the aftermath of that meeting, relations had soured, leading to a strained dynamic between the BJP and BRS during the Huzurabad bypoll in October 2021. Subsequently, Chief Minister Rao had delegated the duty of receiving and bidding farewell to the Prime Minister to Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav during his visits to Hyderabad and Telangana.

Now, with the change in government in Telangana, following the Congress assuming office on December 7, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy aims to discuss crucial issues with Modi, including the release of pending Central funds to the state. Sources indicate that Reddy, despite being unwell for the past three days, is determined to address matters related to funds owed under PM Awas Yojana, Indiramma house construction for the poor, NREGA, panchayat raj and rural development schemes, and Central health mission schemes.

Post the meeting with Modi, Reddy is expected to hold discussions with senior Congress leaders, such as Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge, and general secretary K.C. Venugopal. The agenda is likely to encompass the party's preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, as well as discussions on the Cabinet expansion and the filling of nominated posts.

Upon his return from Delhi, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to participate in a grand Congress rally in Nagpur on December 28, coinciding with the celebration of the party's foundation day. The series of interactions and events underscore the significant role he plays in shaping both state and national political landscapes.
