Revanth targets KCR, and downgrades security. The government has downgraded the security detail for former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, shifting from Z+ to Y category security, which now includes an escort vehicle and 4+4 Personal Security Officers (PSOs). Notably, during his tenure as Chief Minister, KCR enjoyed Z+ category security. In his current role as the Leader of the Opposition, KCR has been assigned Cabinet rank security.

As part of this adjustment, a sentry post has been designated for KCR's residence at Nandinagar, Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. This decision, prompted by a thorough review conducted by the Intelligence department, reflects a strategic reassessment of security protocols for the prominent political figure.

In addition to the changes in KCR's security, a significant measure has been taken to withdraw security coverage for former ministers and MLAs who faced defeat in the recent Assembly polls. The Intelligence department has further allocated 2+2 PSOs to former ministers who were re-elected to the Assembly but chose to forgo their escort and pilot vehicles.
