The Telangana  Congress leader K Jana Reddy, claimed that Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, was in favour of lifting the cases pending against the students who had participated in the Telangana agitation.

The former Home Minister said that he would once again request the Chief Minister to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day on September 17 officially.

Clarifying the stand that all Congress leaders would be participating in the first death anniversary celebrations of the late chief minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Jana Reddy observed  that YSR was the first among those who resurrected the Congress party in the State. Pointing out that Dr YSR played a pivotal role in bringing the Congress party back to power in the 2004 elections, he said the loss of the departed leader was irreparable.
