Dhanush : A Rare Talent With Multiple Skills

Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, Professionally known as Dhanush is the younger son of filmmaker Kasthuri Raja. His brother Selvaraghavan is a celebrated director. The films which came in their combination during their early stage of their career became highly successful. Later on Dhanush keeps on delivering impressive performances and selecting wide range of scripts. He won four national awards, two as a Best actor and two as a producer. 

After his first film directed by his father Kasthuri Raja, Dhanush starred in his brother Selvaraghavan 's debut directorial Kaadhal Kondein which became a sensational hit. He scored another box office hit with Thiruda Thirudai. Then after a series of setbacks, He joined hands with his brother and made a cult gangster film Pudhupettai. 

Dhanush's collaboration with Director Vetrimaran turned his career with Polladhavana and Aadukalam. Vetrimaran was introduced as a director with Polladhavan. His 3 under the direction of his wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth earned cult status among love stories. Anirudh was introduced with this film. Then he made his Bollywood entry with Raanjhanaa directed by Anand L Rai costarring Sonam Kapoor. The film became a sleeper hit and Dhanush won accolades for his performance.

Then his Velaiilla Pattadhaari (Raghuvaran Btech in Telugu), Maari, Kodi became commercial superhits. He then turned Director with Paa Paandi starring Raj Kiran. He also produced films under his Wunderbar Studios banner. He even produced big ticket film with Superstar Rajinikanth, Kaala in Pa.Ranjith. He even did some Hollywood films, The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir and The Grey Man. 

His Asuran and Karnan films became blockbusters and won numerous accolades for his intense performances. He also made his debut in Tollywood with SIR and scored a superhit. His upcoming films involve Captain Miller, D50 in his own direction and D51 with Sekhar Kammula as a Telugu - Tamil bilingual.
