Sid Sriram is one of the most popular singers at the moment. He shot to fame quickly with his unique voice. Sid Sriram is a dramatic musician and playback singer who belongs to a Tamil family but was raised in the USA. His musical skills were nurtured by his mother, Latha Sriram, a Carnatic Music teacher. He started learning Carnatic music when he was 3 years old. Later he graduated from Berklee College of Music and moved to India to give concerts in dramatic music.

Sid Sriram's career was turned by legendary AR Rahman. He gave him a chance to sing in his music direction for Mani Ratnam's Kadal / Kadali. But, he shot to fame with Shankar's directorial 'I'. His song Ennodu Nee Irundhaal / Nuvvunte Naa Jathagaa composed by AR Rahman became an instant chartbuster and became an overnight sensation. His unique voice and yearning for his vocals made him perfect for love songs and melodies.

Followed by a song in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan composed by Anirudh has further increased his fame. Velli Pomaake in Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo again in AR Rahman's composition brings him closer to the Telugu audience. His songs in Ninnu Kori, Geetha Govindam, Husharu, Taxiwala, and 2.0 have made him a household name. He turned into a music director with Vaanam Kottatum produced by Mani Ratnam in Tamil.

But, his 'Srivalli' song from Pushpa has catapulted his stardom in Telugu. Some small films find an audience because of his chartbuster songs. Such was the impact he created as a singer among the listeners.
