Gumraah Trailer Review

Ram's Red where he played a dual role is an official remake of Tamil Superhit Thadam starring Arun Vijay. The film is a mystery thriller. The film which was released for Sankranthi couple of years ago has performed recently at the boxoffice. Now, the film has been remade in Hindi titled as Gumraah with Aditya Roy Kapoor in lead role and Mrunal Thakur as female lead. Makers released the trailer.

In Gumraah, the police think they are presented with a clear-cut case once they have a photo of their murder suspect. However, they are in for a rude surprise and their case falls apart when they discover two identical men as their suspects. As they try to figure out the mystery, the film also takes us into the lives of the suspects. The trailer cut is interesting. 

Aditya Roy Kapoor plays a double role for the first time in his career. While Mrunal Thakur and Ronit Bose play the police officers. Which is one is the liar and which one is telling the truth? The suspense drama is said to be inspired by true events. The suspects are also poles apart. One is polished and respectable, while the other is a thug with a short temper. Much of the film also seems to revolve around the police's interrogation of the two suspects as they aim to solve the brutal murder of a young man.

Vardhan Ketkar is debuting as director with the film. Gumraah is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. The thriller will release in theatres on April 7, 2023.
