Mega Star Chiranjeevi is gearing up to show his power at the box office with his action entertainer Waltair Veerayya which is releasing on 13 January 2023. Even as Movie lovers are waiting to enjoy the film on the screen and speculating in the box office records it will break, the film landed in the controversy.

Much to the shock of all is boycott Waltair Veerayya hashtag is going viral on social media. Few sections are objecting to a scene in the film. Chiranjeevi is seen coming on a boat and lighting a beedi. But few have taken exception to the scene as the boat had the flag of Lord Hanuman. They are accusing that Chiranjeevi insulted lord Hanuman by lighting a beedi in front of his flag. 

People are questioning how could Chiranjeevi give a  green signal to such scene being a Hanuman bhakt and since he practices and wears Hanuman mala , practices Hanuman deeksha every year. The makers of Waltair Veerayya are not available for comments.
