Who will win the battle of Diwali.?

Tamil movie lovers are currently nostalgic for Maniratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan. The film which is based on the novel Ponniyin Selvan authored by Kalki Krishnamurthy is based on the Chola Dynasty. The film with the star cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwaya Lekshmi, Shobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Parthiban in important roles.

The film is expected to show its power at the Kollywood box office for few more weeks and in the meantime, speculation is on as to who will win the Diwali fight in Kollywood. Karthi's Sardar and SivaKarthikeyan's Prince are released during Diwali. Karthi's Sardar is releasing on October 21 in a lavish manner.

Karthi is playing the role of a RAW agent under the direction of PS.Mithran. The film stars Rajisha Vijayan and Raashi Khanna as the lead. SivaKarthikeyan's Prince is directed by KV. Anudeep and is released on the same date October 21, 2022. The question is will Ponniyin Selvan's dream run in Kollywood continue even during Dasara or Sardar or Prince will stall its march? Both the films are released even in Telugu and both Karthi and SivaKarthikeyan have a good market in Tollywood. At present, Karthi's Sardar is carrying more hype than SivaKarthikeyan's Prince.
