A chance encounter on hills

Actress Divya Spandana meets Amitabh Bachchan in the Ootty hills after four years. She acted with the Big B in Nagathihalli’s Amruthadhaare in 2004. Divya was wondering if Amitabh would remember her. 

“He did remember me. And he did read my palm again,” says the actress, reminicsing about the time the actor had joked with her about knowing how to read palms. Divya met AB on the sets of Major Ravi’s Kandahar, in which he has a cameo. “Sumalatha (Ambarish) aunty is playing the Big B’s wife. I was with her at the shoot. It was so much fun. And Mr Bachchan is still as charming as ever,” she gushes. 

During a photo shoot Divya wanted to stand on her toes as she is short. ''But Bachchan said no.Mera height kharab ho jayega (I won't look tall, if you stand on your toes) and we all laughed,'' recounts Divya.
