There is no denying the fact that the slashing of Ticket Prices in theatres in Andhra Pradesh by the AP government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy sounded like a death knell to the Tollywood industry. It siphoned off all the hopes of revival as coronavirus made a deadly impact affecting everyone in a disastrous manner with the first and second waves.

Though many industry celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Allu Aravind, Rajamouli, Dil Raju, Nagarjuna, and others tried to convince the AP government by meeting CM Jagan Mohan Ready to take back the GO over Ticket Prices, it did not yield any positive response. The powerful speech by Pawan Kalyan at Republic pre-release function is also said to have acted in a negative manner.

The makers of the top star's films delayed the releases hoping of some positive decision from the AP government. But with nothing coming out films like RRR, Bheemla Nayak, Radhe Shyam all slated their films for January release. Pushpa is releasing in December while Acharya, Sarkaru Vaari Paata and others are following them in February and April.

In the midst of all this, rumors spread that few filmmakers including RRR makers are planning to approach court over ticketing prices against the AP government. This left all stunned and many felt that this will complicate the already strained relations between Tollywood and AP Government. Under these circumstances, DVV Entertainments which is producing RRR in a grand manner came with the following reaction on approaching court against AP government and CM Jagan Mohan Reddy over Ticket Prices.

They posted "It is true that the slashing of Ticket Prices will affect our film immensely. But we at #RRRMovie have no intention of going to court. We are trying to approach the honourable Andhra Pradesh CM garu and explain our situation for an amicable solution." It has to be seen whether RRR makers meeting with AP CM Jagan will result in any positive outcome or whether CM Jagan will first of all entertain them and give appointment to meet him.
