Artists, Technicians Review

Raj and DK turn The Family Man season 2 even more interesting and exciting. This time they not only included the twists and turns based in Pakistan but also showed that evolving in Srilanka. Though one could guess the final outcome of the story, Raj and DK with their screenplay made it interesting and thrilling. But for all their efforts the ending turned out to be extremely predictable. Raj and DK came with powerful dialogues loaded with intense patriotism and also at the same time added witty and sharp jokes to entertain everyone. Family Man 2 is fast passed and has its emotional elements. The technical values are top-notch. The cinematography of Eric Byson is captivating. He made the climax interesting with his cinematography. Background music elevated the scenes taking it to another level and editing is good but could have been better as there are drags that slowed the pace of the narration in the middle. The climax was rushed after the slow narration much to the disappointment of the viewers.

Manoj Bajpayee carried on from where he left in the first season. He slipped into the role as the family man showcasing his insecurities and at the same time humor perfectly. No other actor other than Manoj Bajpayee could do justice to the role. He showcased different expressions and emotions in a subtle manner with effortless ease. His transformation in various scenes is remarkable.

Samantha is the surprise pack and she stole the show with her powerful performance. She enacted high-octane action scenes effortlessly much to the surprise of all and is a delight for her fans. She showed the intensity perfectly but at times overdid it. Samantha is set to increase her fan base with her performance across the country, especially in the Hindi belt.

Priyamani for all her talent is underused. She played the role of Manoj Bajpayee's wife Suchi. Tiwari and Sharib Hashmi as JK with their humor emerged successful in entertaining viewers.

Rating Analysis

Raj and DK The Family Man Season 2 continues in the same interesting manner taking over from the first season. They tried to make it even more interesting and exciting than the first season. Raj and DK succeeded in their efforts for the major part. However routineness, predictable ending spoiled everything. However, they are saved a little bit from the spirited performances from actors like Manoj Bajpayee, new inclusion Samantha and others. Compared to The Family Man 1, Family Man 2 is a bit disappointing. Now one has to wait eagerly for what Raj and DK offer in Family Man 3 with Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni.

Punchline: Family Man 2 attracts with its thrills and frills.
