'Kollywood Banned Me'

Chinmayi Sripaada is not only a popular singer and dubbing artist but is known for taking the mantle forward in the #MeToo Movement. Always vocal on social issues and puts up the same on her social media posts, Chimanyi calls the spade as spade and is a strong advocate of women empowerment.

Chinmayi at a recent Conclave has spoken that after she named her molesters during the #MeToo movement, she had faced repercussions wile the accused are doing fine. She says that she has been banned in Kollywood by BJP's Radha Ravi and DMK-affiliated Vairamuthu.

“I haven’t been working in Kollywood for the last two or three years. But since I have my presence in Telugu, Hindi and other industries I am able to survive,” says Chinmayi. The popular singer is married to actor-turned-director Rahul Ravindran who has been supportive to her, and she has been vocal about her husband and family’s support often.
