To cash in on the biggest season for Tollywood, several Telugu films are aimed to release during Sankranthi festival. Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo are officially confirmed for release on January 12th.
Kalyan Ram’s Entha Manchi Vadavu Ra is also likely to release for the festival. However, there’s no clarity yet on the release date of Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya’s Venky Mama. As per reports, makers of Venky Mama are also planning for Sankranthi release.
Amongst all the Sankranthi outings, Ala Vaikunthapurramloo is way ahead in promotions. In fact, the film is carrying remarkable buzz because of the aggressive promotions. The first single Samajavaragamana got exceptional response and the teaser of second single Ramuloo Ramuloo promised it is going to be a mass blast.
On the other hand, Sarileru Neekevvaru makers are yet to make a strong impression. The first single did not impress that much and second single will be out for Diwali.
S Thaman utilized the opportunity and is providing wonderful tunes for Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, wherein Devi Sri Prasad of late is disappointing with routine tunes. So, all the pressure is on DSP to come up with fascinating sound tracks to compete with Ala Vaikunthapurramloo.
