Star Singer Missed Evergreen Song!

Yesteryear classic Rojulu Marayi released on April 14, 1955 created sensations. Jikki’s song Eruvaka Sagaro teaming up with Kosaraju and Master Venu turned out to be a sensational hit. The song is still in the hearts of the movie and music lovers even now, and it will be in the all-time hits forever.

However, Jikki got this golden opportunity unexpectedly. The makers earlier planned to record the song with singer Leela and contacted her father for the same. However after knowing the song details, he didn’t show much interest. 

When the makers asked him the reason then he said, “Look. For my daughter to sing any song it should have classical touch with importance to music and lyrics. She will not sing folk song filmed on a street dancer.”

Later the makers looked for an alternative and recorded the song with Jikki. The rest is a history.
