High Court Judgement On Vijay Mersal

Vijay starrer Mersal that released last Friday is miffed with controversies due to dialogues targeting GST and some provoking religious sentiments.

A case has been filed on the movie by a lawyer from Madurai for a dialogue in the movie that goes like this – There is no need of temples for us. We need hospitals.

The lawyer has filed a petition stating that this dialogue has hurt the sentiments of the people of Hindi religion.

However, after hearing the case, the court has quashed the petition telling that the movie is not targeted to anyone in particular and it is just a work of fiction.

The court also added that why is it that no one complains on Alcohol, Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, transgender scenes.

Don’t watch the movie if you didn’t like it is what the court has finally announced in its judgement.

Mersal is dubbed in Telugu as Adhirindhi and is yet to release after couple of postponements.

Directed by Atlee, Mersal has Vijay portraying three roles as a doctor, magician and a village leader. Samantha, Kajal and Nitya Menon are paired opposite Vijay.
