Charmi Kaur with her Charming looks and well-tailored physique has more flops than successes. Making her debut at 13 in Tamil movies, the Mumbai-born girl of Punjabi origin signed with Silambarasan’s Sonnaldhan Kadhala in 2002.  Charmi walked away to glory with flop after flop in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Though considered jinxed, she acted opposite top stars Venkatesh, NTR Jr, Ravi Teja, Sumanth, Prabhas and Nitin. Recently, she made her comeback to Kollywood with Laadam, which didn’t get her desirable results.

Some media channels recently telecast that Charmi was getting married to a Punjabi guy. She said she had no plans of marriage. That’s fine, but why should she get furious when marriage is considered a blissful life for many? No one told her she has no roles at hand despite her flops!Charmi said she was busy shooting for Telugu film Chaayatta and hence has no dates for marriage! Her debutant Telugu movie Nee Thodu Kaavali, in which she acts as a home-maker, was also a flop, but this helped the budding actress het a foothold in the South Indian film industry.

Her next film with Silabaran was also a flop. The she acted in a Malayalam film directed by Vinayan (Kattuchembakam, which also bombed at the box office. After that she acted in a couple of Tamil films but they also flopped at the box office.Her big break in Tollywood was Gowri in which she was paired with Sumanth. The success of films like Mass with Nagarjuna and Anukokunda Okaroju, however, catapulted her to stardom in Tollywood.
