Are horror films in South Indian cinema circles getting clichéd? After playing enough with the idea of evil spirits and haunted bungalows, looks like our writers and directors have gone one step high by taking an exit from bungalows and searching for new places while handling the horror scripts.
This week released two horror films, ‘Dora’ starring Nayanathara and ‘Cine Mahal’ from fresh artists set in two different backdrops.
While the spirit of a dog enters into vintage car to take revenge in ‘Dora,’ dead soul of a heroine infiltrates into a theater through a film print and kills those behind her murder in ‘Cine Mahal.’
However, ‘Dora’ grabbed the attention of viewers to an extent for lady super star Nayanathara in central character but ‘Cine Mahal’ though made on a good idea went bad at execution and lack of promotions. Resultantly, ‘Guru’ evolved as a major winner in this week.
