Tamil producer Thyagarajan kept many of the South star heroines at bay holding ‘Queen’ remake rights in his hand. Finally, he announced Tamanna as the heroine and Revathy as the director to handle both Telugu and Tamil remakes simultaneously. Revathy is known for critically acclaimed flicks like ‘Mitr, My Friend’ and ‘Phir Milenge.’

Tamanna says, she waited almost for one year to become a part of ‘Queen’ remake. ‘I wished to be a part of remake ever since I saw ‘Queen.’ But, I wasn’t sure if someone is remaking it or not. This is one of the rare heroine centric flicks succeeded in reaching out vast sections of audience across the country. I can’t wait to join the shooting soon. Fact is that, Revathy is an inspiration for my character in last release ‘Abhinetri’ and now, I am working under her direction makes this remake more special,’ Tamanna said.
