Heroine Inaugurates A Well!

Generally heroines and celebrities are familiar with inaugurating shopping malls, hotels or restaurants because that’s an easy way of making money by spending just few hours. That’s a different story of course because there are a few socially responsible heroines like Preity Zinta who is in good news.

Of late, she married Gene Goodenough and the event was most talked about in cine circles. Now, Preity has come forward to support the people striving with drought in Maharashtra. In fact, she was reportedly moved when heard about the pity story of families in a village near Nasik reeling under severe drought conditions.

Immediately, Preity released the funds for digging a well in the village. She has personally kept in touch with villagers during the construction of well and inaugurated it on Sunday. ‘The Well outside Nasik in Maharashtra being inaugurated so that the villagers can finally store and save water to help with the severe drought in the state. So proud & thankful to all who have worked tirelessly to make this happen,’ Preity said while on the occasion.
