If Box Office collections are the only way to assess the success and failure of a film, then Indian audience should be rightly voted as spice lovers. As popular critics always say, sex sells more than sincerity, it’s again proved correct with roaring revenues for Sunny Leone starring ‘Mastizaade’ than that of Madhavan’s ‘Saala Khadoos.’
Both these films were released last Friday and the weekend results are almost out in market. While Madhavan worked very hard to portray an authentic performance as retired boxing coach in ‘Saala Khadoos,’ it’s altogether a contrasting dual role for sexy Sunny Leone as Lily and Laila in ‘Mastizaade’ which opened strongly all over India.
Official opening collection reports say that, ‘Mastizaade’ collected Rs. 5.6 Crores on release day in variant to ‘Saala Khadoos’ just minting Rs. 2.2 Crores in domestic circuit (Grand total till Saturday including Tamil and Hindi versions is Rs.5.73 Crores). Of course, a long run is what expected for ‘Saala Khadoos’ despite critics have given divided verdicts while ‘Mastizaade’ got high on adult ratings.
