The prestigious 'Allu Ramalingaiah Kalapeetham' award for the year 2013 was bagged by senior character artist Kota Srinivasa Rao. The function was held at Ravindrabharathi on Monday,30th of Septemeber and it was graced by the union minster for tourism, Dr.Chiranjeevi, state ministers Mandali Buddha Prasad,Kasu Venkatakrishna Reddy,Allu Aravind,Saripalli Kondala Rao, Stylish Star Allu Arjun, Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani and others. Chiranjeevi said, " Allu Ramalingaiah garu is not only an actor but also the great patriot. I feel proud to be the son-in-law of a great personality like him, despite he is a great actor. Even though he came to know the news of his son, Allu Venkatesh's death, he attended the shoot to avoid the loss to the producer.  This instance shows his commitment on his work. He used to say politics pave the way for wide range of service to the people. He would have been delighted if he saw me as minister today. Kota  Srinivasa Rao garu has a great command on language. He can speak any kind of slang with ease. He completely deserves for Padmasri award. Meanwhile, Kota Srinivasa Rao in his speech expressed his delight for having received 'Allu Ramalingaiah Kalapeetham' award.
