World’s top Women Doubles badminton player and pride of entire Indian nation is dishonored at the yesterday held Indian Badminton League players auction. While players like Saina Nehwal and Lee Chong Wei are sold for record prices, on the other side doubles players Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa are unsold for a while. There was a high drama at inaugural players’ auction and organizers were forced to change the rules for the sake of two Indian icon players.

The base price for them is reduced from $50,000 to 25,000 in order to get them into bid once again. Finally, Jwala Gutta was sold to Delhi franchisee for $31,000 and Ashinwi to Pune team for $25,000. Still, there is nothing to worry because respective franchisee owners promised the players to compensate the remaining amount. But, Jwala who recently failed as item girl on Telugu cinema felt dishonored by this auction.
