The deafening success of ‘Dirty Picture’ in Bollywood lured many South Indian film makers to chalk out the possibilities on remake of same subject either in Tamil or Telugu versions. While Silk Smitha was originally the South Indian sex siren, it is Bollywodo which cashed on her bold life style. Vidya Balan’s sensuous treat kept the cash registers ringing. In fact, no differentiation between North and South, audience all over thronged to theatres to watch Vidya Balan’s adult acts. 

Recently, gossips of either Nikitha (‘Hai’ of Aryan Rajesh fame) or Anushka might turn dirty for South versions of Silk Smitha biography has caught like a wildfire. However, Ekta Kapoor is reported of not even considering the option of remaking ‘Dirty Picture’ in any other languages. On Anushka’s front, her spokesperson clarified of no such offer accepted by the heroine as she is busy for next one to one and half year with a row of Tamil projects committed. So, there is no South version of ‘Dirty Silk.’
