Once again, here is the interesting subject discussed in trade circles about the business of ‘Dookudu’ not in domestic market but in overseas. It has become a regular observation in outside the Indian market that, names of Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan are always to sell for an extra buck. This is what makes distributors in overseas (like USA) to purchase the rights of these heroes films pouring Rs.40 to 50 Lakhs more than other top heroes. Same happened with ‘Dookudu’ for which overseas rights are sold nearly a year ago for around Rs.2 Crores, say an insider.

Current market conditions in USA are pathetic. For any of the divided or negative talk spread on the first day, Telugu NRIs prefer to watch the pirated version online spending the time with family rather than going for theatre. Latest duds like ‘Dhada’ have proved the logic once again right. Trade sources say, betting on ‘Dookudu’ with such a high figure as mentioned above is surely Daring and one has to see how far their Dreams will be fulfilled. For information sake, Mahesh Babu’s last flick ‘Khaleja’ was an excellent grosser in overseas market.
