Stars setting aside image to score hits

Till some timeback there was a notion that top stars presence, grand VFX and huge budgets are pathway to success. But now things changed drastically with the taste of the movie lovers and their preferences undergoing complete transformation.
Filmmakers are realising that unnecessary extravaganza, huge budgets, star power will not guarantee people thronging to theatres. Many recent films proved that more than stardom, strong content is the key to the success. Samantha's Maa Inti Bangaaram, Akhil's Lenin, Varun Tej's Korean Kanakaraju, Ravi Teja's Irumudi stayed away from extravaganza and only paid importance to the story that revolved around characters.
All these films turned into a reality with stars believing the directors' vision. The success of these films proved once again that people encourage films that have novel stories and strong content rather than routine commercial entertainers.
