All About Yash Toxic Film Eyes Massive Opening

Yash is set to return to cinemas on August 26 with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, his first release after the KGF franchise. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the period action drama is set in Goa and explores the rise of a powerful criminal empire against a changing colonial backdrop.

The film features Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. Toxic has been mounted as a major pan-India production and will release in multiple languages. The film has generated strong interest because of Yash’s popularity and the scale of his comeback after KGF: Chapter 2.

According to trade reports, Toxic has recorded strong advance sales across India, with reported bookings crossing ₹70 crore. The Hindi market has reportedly contributed more than ₹30 crore, while the Telugu states have crossed ₹13 crore in advances. Karnataka has also recorded exceptional demand, reflecting Yash’s strong home-state following with 20+ crores. The film's break even figure is 130 crores gross for Telugu states and 750 - 800 crores globally including all languages.

The film has received an A certificate and reportedly has a runtime of around 194 minutes. Trade estimates are projecting an India opening of ₹100 crore or more, while the worldwide opening could potentially reach ₹120–130 crore if evening shows see strong occupancy. Actual collections will depend on final ticket sales and audience response. The film’s long-term performance will ultimately depend on word of mouth after release.
