Yash addressed the ₹4,000 crore buzz around Ramayana on Aap Ki Adalat. The KGF star, also co-producer, said the figure covers production, global marketing and worldwide release for the two-part epic. He noted Hollywood style budgeting is needed for an international theatrical launch planned for Ramayana and Toxic.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravan. DNEG is handling VFX to build a large scale visual world. Part 1 releases overseas on November 6, 2026 and in India on November 8, 2026. Part 2 is slated for Diwali 2027.

Yash said adapting Ramayana is challenging as everyone grew up with different versions from TV, films and family stories. The goal is to balance big screen entertainment with cultural values. Co-producer Namit Malhotra is pushing for a scale that matches the epic’s stature for global audiences.

He chose to play Ravan because a powerful villain makes Ram’s victory meaningful. “We need a Ravan who feels unbeatable with all boons,” Yash explained. By positioning the antagonist strongly, the film aims to create emotional impact and deliver a fresh, cinematic interpretation of the timeless story.
