Trisha Krishnan Latest Comments About Her Marriage

Actress Trisha Krishnan has gone viral on social media after sharing her candid thoughts on marriage during recent interview. The popular South Indian star, who has been a leading face in Tamil and Telugu cinema for over two decades, said she views marriage as a lifelong commitment that should never be taken lightly. Trisha addressed constant speculation about her personal life and made it clear that if she ever marries, it will be for life because she does not believe in divorce. She emphasized that she would rather wait for the right person than rush into a relationship that could end in separation.
Trisha explained that her cautious approach comes from watching several friends face emotional struggles after marriage. She said she has seen “tons of married couples around me who are in it for all the wrong reasons” and are extremely unhappy, staying together due to children, family expectations, or social pressure. That reality made her decide she would “think 100 times before marriage” and only commit if she feels absolute certainty about spending her life with that person. The actress also revealed that she called off her engagement to Chennai based businessman Varun Manian in 2015 because he asked her to quit acting. Trisha chose her career over the wedding, stating, “I will only take a break when I get pregnant. My wish is to act until my last breath”.
Trisha’s 2016 interview resurfaced in March 2026 after she and actor politician Vijay attended producer Kalpathi S. Suresh’s son’s wedding reception in Chennai together, sparking fresh dating rumors. In that throwback clip, Trisha said marriage is secondary to companionship, “I want to fall in love. I definitely want to meet my companion. If it doesn’t happen, I’m okay with that also”. The renewed attention intensified after reports that Vijay’s wife Sangeetha Sornalingam filed for divorce in February 2026 citing an affair, and after Trisha’s delayed birthday post for Vijay on June 23 calling him “the person who makes it all worth it”. Producer Charmme Kaur’s comment on that post, “Pure gold couple”, further fueled online chatter.
Responding to rumors that she had quit films, married a businessman, and was raising quadruplets, Trisha shut down the speculation with humor on Instagram Stories, “Apparently I’ve quit films, married a rich businessman and I’m raising quadruplets who turned two yesterday. Anything else I should add or did we cover today’s fiction quota?” She clarified in October 2025 that she is not marrying a Chandigarh based businessman as tabloids claimed. While neither Trisha nor Vijay has confirmed a relationship, they have remained silent on the rumors and continue to work together, having reunited in Leo after 15 years. Trisha maintains that she will not marry due to social pressure or age, and if she never finds a suitable life partner, she is happy to remain single rather than make a decision she may regret later.
