Aadu 3: One Last Ride – Part 1 became one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest hits of 2026, pulling in over ₹120 Cr worldwide and locking its OTT premiere on ZEE5 from May 1, 2026. Directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, the fantasy action-comedy drops in five languages, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
So fans across India can finally catch the madness of Shaji Pappan and gang from their couch. The film follows a similar blockbuster path as Vaazha 2, proving that franchise love and crazy humor still sell tickets. The theatrical run was wild. Aadu 3 opened strong on March 19, 2026 with ₹5.95 Cr net on Day 1 in India and a massive ₹17.75 Cr worldwide, thanks to huge overseas numbers. Kerala alone gave ₹6.05 Cr gross on opening day. By Day 8 it had already crossed ₹36.63 Cr net. The final tally: ₹121.16 Cr worldwide gross, with ₹60.16 Cr India gross and ₹50.99 Cr net.
Overseas added another ₹61 Cr. Budget reports vary, trade sources peg it at ₹20 Cr while some portals estimate ₹60-65 Cr. Either way, with ₹30.99 Cr profit and 155% ROI, it’s a certified super-hit. Social media was full of housefull boards, with fans calling Shaji Pappan’s return “peak theatre experience”. What makes Aadu 3 different is the scale. This isn’t just village comedy anymore. The story jumps timelines, 1790, present day, and 2370 mixing a treasure hunt with time-bending twists.
Jayasurya is back as the iconic Shaji Pappan, joined by Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Renji Panicker, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bhagath Manuel, Indrans, Bijukuttan, and Sudhi Koppa.
