Deepika Padukone Opens Up About Motherhood Struggles

Deepika Padukone recently shared her honest feelings about motherhood, revealing the emotional ups and downs she's experiencing. The actress, who welcomed her daughter Dua Padukone Singh with husband Ranveer Singh in September 2024, expressed her inner conflict between wanting a break and not being able to stay away from her child.

In an Instagram story, Deepika reposted a reel highlighting the "mom guilt" many mothers face, saying "My toxic trait is loving my child so much that I don't want anyone else watching them… but I desperately need a break… but I can't stand being without them… but I also crave 24 hours of silence… but I still want to be with them 24/7." She captioned it, "There...I said it."

Deepika spoke about how motherhood has changed her perspective on life and priorities at the WAVES 2025 summit. "I'm discovering this new life post-embracing motherhood," she said, adding that she's still figuring out how to balance work and family.

The actress is set to appear in the film King, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan, releasing on December 24, 2026.
