Nani released the trailer of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's directorial debut 'Saraswathi', showcasing a gripping story of a mother's quest for justice. The trailer begins with Varalaxmi waiting at a police station, frantic about her missing daughter Saraswathi. As the story unfolds, we see Varalaxmi, Priyamani, and Kishore struggling to find their children, leading to a intense courtroom battle.

Varalaxmi plays the lead role, with Prakash Raj as advocate Ramanunajam, who initially hesitates to take her case but eventually agrees to represent her. The trailer hints at a crime and a long drawn legal battle, with Varalaxmi determined to fight for justice. 

The trailer takes a dramatic turn when Varalaxmi procures a gun and learns to fire it, declaring, "Not every woman will be a Saraswathi. If there is a need, she will even turn into a Kali." This powerful statement sets the tone for the film, highlighting the themes of courage and empowerment. The film is slated to release on March 6. 

Produced by Varalaxmi and her sister Pooja under Dosa Diaries, 'Saraswathi' boasts an impressive cast, including Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Radhikaa Sarathkumar, and Naveen Chandra. The film's technical team is equally impressive, with music by Thaman, cinematography by Edwin Sakay, and editing by Venkat Raajen.
