Sudeep playing key role in Varanasi

Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli's magnum opus Rajamouli is becoming the cynosure of all eyes. The film is progressing at a brisk pace and racing for a grand release on 7 April 2026.

Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran are playing important roles and Prakash Raj is playing a pivotal role. Now reports are coming that Sandalwood star Sudeep is playing an important role in the film.

It is known that Sudeep and Rajamouli share good bonhomie and Rajamouli cast him in a key role in Nani, Samantha's Eega. He later cast him in Prabhas, Rana's Baahubali. Rajamouli is keen to cast Sudeep in the most powerful role in Varanasi.

Vijayendra Prasad is the storywriter for the film while the music is tuned by Keeravani. The film is a blend of Hindu epics and Western Adventure novels and Mahesh Babu will be seen in the roles of Rudra and Lord Ram.
