Varanasi - Priyanka Chopra hails Rajamouli

Global Beauty Priyanka Chopra is playing the female lead in Mahesh Babu's Varanasi directed by Rajamouli. Speaking to scribes, Priyanka Chopra showered praises on Rajamouli.

She said "It is a pleasure to act under the direction of Rajamouli, one of the best directors in India. This will be a meaningful film in my career. I, along with fans, am eagerly waiting for its release," Priyanka Chopra is playing the role of Mandakini in the film which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prakash Raj in important roles.

Rajamouli earlier wished Priyanka Chopra for The Bluff. He posted “Priyanka is unstoppable and always surprises… What a commanding presence and fiery performance. Looking forward to #TheBluff.”

Varanasi is releasing on 7 April 2026. Expectations are high on the project as it is Rajamouli's first after the sensation of RRR. Keeravani is the music director for the film for which Vijayendra Prasad provided the story.
