Ranveer Singh Receives Death Threat from Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh received a shocking extortion and death threat on February 10, 2026, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat was delivered via a WhatsApp voice note demanding a ransom of ₹10 crore. The sender claimed affiliation with the gang, sparking concerns for Ranveer's safety.

The Mumbai Police have increased security outside Ranveer's residence, which he shares with wife Deepika Padukone and their daughter. Six additional private armed guards have been deployed, raising concerns among housing society residents about safety in common areas. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch is tracing the digital origin of the voice note.

Investigation Underway Amidst Recent Threats

This incident follows recent threats against high-profile Bollywood figures, including a firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for the firing, and five suspects have been arrested. Authorities are investigating possible links between the threats and the gang's activities. 

Ranveer Singh's security has been beefed up amidst the investigation, with police examining digital footprints to identify the sender. The actor's team has not filed a formal complaint, but police are taking the threat seriously.
