Shah Rukh Khan branded traitor over Bangaldesh player. The ongoing violence in Bangladesh by the Islamic fundamentalists targeting the Hindus is angering people of India and this is snowballing into a huge controversy with many branding Shah Rukh Khan a traitor.
It is known that Shah Rukh Khan owns KKR team in IPL and it has Bangladesh player Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman ahead of IPL 2026. KKR brought Rahim in the mini auction for Rs 9.20 crore during the mini-auction for the upcoming season.
Many Bangladesh players Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Nahid Rana, Rakibul Hasan, Md Shoriful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman were there in the auction but only Rahim was sold.
Hindu religious preachers and some BJP leaders further intensified their criticism, labelling Shah Rukh Khan a “traitor” Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey said "If Shah Rukh Khan plays him and earns money, that money will be used to nurture terrorists there and conspire against our country. We will not allow this to happen at any cost.”
He added “Bangladesh and Pakistan are both our enemies. We will not remain calm without completely boycotting them.”
BJP’s Sangeet Som said, “In Bangladesh, Hindus are being tortured, killed, they are being thrown out of their homes, naked and beaten… Buying players from there is treason against the country. People like Shah Rukh Khan are traitors.”
