Rishab Shetty 's Kantara Chapter 1 produced by Hombale Films is on a roll, having collected over ₹700 crore worldwide in just two weeks. The film's success has been remarkable, with Karnataka contributing ₹200 crore to the total gross. The film's performance in other regions has also been impressive, with ₹100 crore+ from Telugu states, ₹60 crore from Tamil Nadu, and ₹50 crore from Kerala. North India has contributed significantly, with a gross of nearly ₹200 crore, taking the total India gross to ₹600 crore+.

When Kantara Chapter 1 was released, expectations were high, but no one predicted it would challenge Chhaava's full-run collections or become 2025's biggest grosser. The film has surpassed predictions, collecting ₹700 crore+ in just two weeks, while Chhaava collected around ₹520 crore in the same period. This gives Kantara Chapter 1 a lead of about ₹180 crore. With Diwali in its third week, the film might see a boost in collections, but the upcoming releases might affect its screen count.

Kantara Chapter 1 also created history crossing 100 Crores gross in Telugu States. Despite the competition from new releases, Kantara Chapter 1 is expected to perform well. If it collects half of what Chhaava added in its later run (₹280 crore), it will surpass Chhaava to become 2025's biggest grosser. The film's current trajectory suggests it might reach new heights, cementing its position as one of the highest grossing Indian films.

Kantara Chapter 1's worldwide success can be attributed to its captivating storyline, powerful performances, and Rishab Shetty's direction. The film's overseas collection has been impressive, with around ₹103 crore gross. With its current momentum, Kantara Chapter 1 is likely to continue its winning streak at the box office
