Bellamkonda Sreenivas starrer horror thriller, Kishkindhapuri, has completed its first week at the box office with an impressive worldwide gross of around ₹22 crore. Despite facing tough competition from Teja Sajja's adventure fantasy film Mirai, Kishkindhapuri demonstrated a strong hold at the box office. The film's breakeven point is ₹15 crore, which it has already surpassed, making it a super hit and setting it up for a successful second weekend.

The movie follows a group of visitors who enter an old radio station during a ghost tour, only to disturb a dormant spirit and find themselves trapped. As supernatural forces threaten their lives, they must find a way to escape. Directed by Koushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati, Kishkindhapuri stars Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles. The film's sound design has received significant appreciation, contributing to its positive reception.

Kishkindhapuri marks a significant comeback for Bellamkonda Sreenivas, who had faced a series of failures prior to this film. Achieving breakeven within the first week itself is a testament to the film's success. With a production budget of ₹20 crore and a pre release business of ₹10 crore, the film has already recovered its costs and is poised for further success. The producer's decision to sell the film's OTT rights for a significant amount has also contributed to its profitability.

As Kishkindhapuri continues to perform well at the box office, its success can be attributed to its engaging storyline, good production values, and the chemistry between the leads. With a strong foundation in place, the film is likely to maintain its momentum and emerge as a hit in the coming days.
