Ak64: Mythri Out and Vels In. Top Tollywood production house Mythri Movie Makers tasted success when it bankrolled Thala Ajith's action entertainer Good Bad Ugly. Following this reports came that Mythri Movie Makers will also bankroll Ajith's Ak64 once again with Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran.

Rumours came that the project will go to sets from November and the film will be releasing during Summer 2026. However, now reports are coming that Mythri Movie Makers are out of the project and will no longer bankroll the project.

Instead, Top Kollywood production house Vels International will be bankrolling Ajith's Ak64 with Adhik Ravichandran. Official announcement is expected from the makers in the coming days.

Mythri Movie Makers also confirmed the same stating that they are out of the project due to internal issues. It is known that Ajith of late is balancing both his film profession and also pursuing his hobby car racing.
