Former AP CM, YSRCP chief YS.jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders created a huge controversy with the flexies warning the rival parties about strong consequences using the popular dialogue Rapa Rapa from Allu Arjun's film Pushpa.

Speaking about it, Lagadapati Sridhar has taken a strong exception. He said “Political leaders should refrain from using film dialogues that could lead to unnecessary controversy,”

He added “Especially a line like Rappa Rappa, which carries violent undertones. In a movie, it may trigger whistles and applause—but in real life, it could inadvertently encourage aggression, which is something we must avoid.”

Jagan however earlier defended the dialogues and said , “Even though he was a TDP member, he joined the YSRCP, displaying a sense of regional anger against the government for its failure on promises. He made statements like ‘Rappa rappa, like Gangamma Jatara…’ meaning what?"

He added: “He meant to say that people are that angry with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, that he has failed them and betrayed them. The anger is such that even a Telugu Desam Party karyakarta jumped to our party and said, ‘Just like in Gangamma Jatara, where an animal is sacrificed by beheading, they will behave towards TDP — rappa rappa."

He questioned “Is it wrong to use a movie dialogue in a democracy?"
