Director Prem Kumar Gave 96 Sequel Update

Director C Prem Kumar has confirmed that the sequel to the critically-acclaimed hit '96 is moving ahead. In a recent conversation with singer Chinmayi, Prem Kumar revealed that he has finished scripting the sequel and is currently working on another project. The director is known for his work on films like Meiyazhagan, which starred Karthi and Arvind Swamy.

Prem Kumar is currently writing a thriller story, which he claims will be a preview to another script he has been working on. The script is yet to be made into a film, but Prem Kumar promises that it will happen in time. Chinmayi, who sang several songs for '96, including the hit tracks "Kaathalae Kaathalae" and "Anthaathi," had also dubbed for Trisha in the film.
