Puri Jagannath is renowned for giving distinct names to his films. From his debut film 'Badri' onwards, he has consistently chosen unique titles for his projects. His latest film with Vijay Sethupathi as the hero is no exception.
Puri has mentioned that the title of this pan-India project is unexpected and has undergone changes. The film was initially considered to be titled 'Beggar', but Vijay Sethupathi reportedly objected to this title.
Vijay Sethupathi citing concerns that the Tamil audience might not accept an English title. Drawing from the success of 'Picchaikaran' ('Bichchagadu' in Telugu), Vijay Sethupathi suggested finding a title that conveys the same meaning and suits all languages.
Puri is now considering the title 'Bhavati Bhikshandehi', a Sanskrit phrase that he believes will be compatible with all languages. Whether this title will be confirmed or not remains to be seen.
