Akkineni Naga Chaitanya' next film is, NC24, under the direction of 'Virupaksha' fame Karthik Dandu. The film is a mythological adventurous thriller, and Meenakshi Chowdhury is the heroine. A huge cave set has been set up at Annapurna Studios for NC24, which is being built for naturalness rather than relying on graphics.
The film's script has been crafted with the help of Sukumar, who has made several key suggestions. The story revolves around Chaitanya's character as a treasure hunter and Meenakshi's character as an archaeologist named Daksha. The heroine's role in NC24 is said to be equal to that of the hero, with Meenakshi's role expected to have more screen time than Chaitanya's.
The film is being made with a budget that exceeds Chaitanya's previous film Thandel. With high expectations surrounding NC24, theatrical and non-theatrical offers are already pouring in. The film's production is progressing well, with more than 10% of the shooting completed in just 18 days.
Despite being in the early stages of production, NC24 has already garnered significant attention and business offers. Sithara Entertainments head Naga Vamsi has reportedly bought the worldwide theatrical rights of the movie for Rs. 34 crores. This deal is considered good for the producers, given the film's potential to surpass the success of Chaitanya's last film, Thandel, which did a theatrical business of over Rs. 35 crores.
