Can 'Khaleja' rules apply for 'Kaththi'?

Producers Council and Film Chamber in our State always remained controversial when it comes to ‘Title’ disputes as there are no strict guidelines and hard n fast rules to resolve them. Few days ago, we have seen ‘Komaram Puli’ changing to ‘Puli’ and ‘Khaleja’ getting renamed as ‘Mahesh Khaleja.’

Today director Gunasekhar who holds the title of ‘Kaththi’ from last three is fuming over Nandamuri Kalyanram for finalizing his movie title as ‘Kalyanram Kaththi.’ ‘Kalyanram hasn’t contacted me or producer Danayya regarding the permission for title ‘Kaththi.’ He can’t simply get away with ‘Kalyanram Kaththi’ killing the interests of my movie. I demand justice from Film Chamber,’ said Gunasekhar.

When ‘Mahesh Khaleja’ is accepted legally by court and by Film Chamber; there will be no way that ‘Kalyanram Kaththi’ will face hurdles for the release, if the same rules applied for ‘Khaleja’ are as it is followed for ‘Kaththi.’ Let us see, how will Gunasekhar and Danayya influence the Council? 

For every reason, need of the hour is to calibrate a mechanism that would help in solving this kind of title disputes and see that same such cases won’t be repeated further.
